QUALIFICATIONS: Master's level in Human Services field. Experience in individual and group therapy with following age groups. At least one year's experience working with children, adolescents or adults who are mentally disabled preferred. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of work with multi-cultural population.

OUTPATIENT CLINICAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Provides mental health and psychosocial assessments, history taking, individual/family and group outpatient office based services that meet Agency productivity goals and case management to consumers with mental health needs.
  • Assesses strengths and therapeutic needs of consumers using active listening questioning and exchanging information to complete the assessment.
  • Maintains required documentation on each client assigned (including treatment plans, progress notes, and utilization review deficiencies correction) meeting all timelines for these as detailed in the relevant agency policy as well as writing reports, summaries and letters.
  • Provides intensive therapeutic services to clients in office settings.
  • Participates on agency committees as time and scheduling permit.
  • The position may require some work in a satellite office (Greenville)
  • Provides psychotherapy as agreed upon by the therapist and client utilizing a strength-based approach. Involved community or educational persons may be included as clinically indicated.
  • Able to determine the clinical need for special evaluations and services such as
  • psychiatric medication assessment, or psychological testing in conjunction with child, family and other involved professionals.
  • Includes family members as partners in treatment, when applicable. Supports consumer involvement in Treatment Plan Development and review.
  • Reports directly to assigned Outpatient Director
  • May be required to work evening hours. May also be required to work non-traditional hours if needed. Supervisor will determine this according to need.

  • For Drug and Alcohol Treatment: completes required trainings (25 hours of DDAP) to provide D&A treatment, attends regularly scheduled group supervision, and complies with laws and regulations associated with the duties of this position.
  • Co-facilitates support group for families of individuals with addiction.

RESPONSIBLITIES FOR ALL CLINICAL POSITIONS:

  • Attends CCC's Orientation program and other required CCC trainings. Strictly follows proper procedures with Human Resource Department for nonattendance.
  • Follows Mandated Reporting laws and CCC Policies and Procedures for documentation
  • Maintain consumer files in compliance with licensing requirements and supervisory directives 100% of the time.
  • Knowledge of third-party payers, managed care and insurance requirements
  • Attends clinical supervision meetings and groups as assigned.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings and treatment team consultation
  • Participates in Treatment Team meetings and collaborates with other members of the Treatment Team and other professionals working in the home or in other community settings to help develop more effective treatment modalities.
  • Routinely reviews productivity expectations and determines scheduling flexibility on a biweekly basis if applicable
  • Attends all mandated Community Counseling Center in-services, as well as continuing education classes to enhance job skills.
  • Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.
  • Understands that any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to corrective feedback or action.
  • Is able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations, if necessary.
  • Will participate in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers when necessary.
  • Works in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, and community resources in planning to meet the needs of clients and to assist the client in utilizing his/her resources. Makes referrals to appropriate protective support services for clients who are in situations detrimental to their well-being.
  • Responsible for ongoing, documented professional development utilizing professional seminars, current journals, and pertinent books, etc.
  • Completes and submits daily documentation according to time guidelines in the Agency policies and procedures. This includes appropriate use of time management to meet deadlines and licensing requirements.
  • Participates in staffing Intake Clinic (Rapid Access) per agency policy and needs.
  • The physical demands of this job may include driving, walking, sitting, stair climbing, reaching, grasping, finger dexterity for data entry, writing, & may have to carry up to 10 pounds
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in solving consumer care and program needs
  • Maintain professional decorum, including reliability and dependability in following through with assignments, maintaining professional dress in accordance with the dress code, engaging in positive interactions with supervisors and colleagues, and keeping equipment and office space in a professional, clean, and useable condition.
  • Will perform other duties related to the position when appropriate.
