JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for performing administrative duties related to human resources and work closely with the Human Resource Director in supporting the overall mission and vision of the organization.  

1.0 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. PROVIDES Level I HR SUPPORT: Provides administrative support to include, but not limited to, FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Time and Attendance, Benefit and 401k Enrollment and Administration, I9, 45/90 day reviews, Clearances, Physicals, maintain/update HR forms, Relias, Credible, updating job descriptions and other duties as assigned.
  2. STAFFING: Coordinates and assists in all recruitment-related activities including but not limited to; posting/communicating open positions, applicant tracking, use of job boards, and scheduling onboarding. Communicates new hire information timely to payroll and IT. Assists with new hire orientation.
  3. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT: Interacts with all employees to promote smooth workflow, identify and resolve problems with HRD oversight, advance the agency's image and accomplish results that support the mission and vision of Community Counseling Center. Active participant of the Health and Safety Committee.2.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, HR onboarding and training new employees; addressing complaints and assisting with conflict resolution.

3.0 RESULTS EXPECTED:

3.1 New Hire information is communicated timely to program and/or hiring supervisor, payroll and IT.

3.2 Coordinates and assists with New Hire Orientation and scheduling onboarding.

3.3 Ensures all required documents are attained for hiring in each program such as but not limited to; clearances,    FBI fingerprints, diploma/degree, physical, I9 documentation, transcripts and electronic onboarding.

3.4 Documentation is accurate (ie: personnel files, benefits, etc.)  

3.5 No citations for HR during licensure of programs.

3.6 Workers Compensation follow-up and reported out to HRD and supervisor until close of claim

3.7 Systems are kept current (ie: Relias, MITC, etc.)

3.8 Employees enrolled in benefits timely. (ie: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, etc)

5.0 QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 5.1Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively. Ability to work in a team as well as independently. Dependable.

5.2 Education and/or Experience: Preferred BA or BS in Human Resource Management. Equivalent combinations of related experience, education and/or training may be considered.

5.3 Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, employees and the general public.

5.4 Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

5.5 Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

5.6 Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.

5.7  Personal Qualities: Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects and maintains confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work. Must be detailed-oriented, excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

6.0 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Act 33 and 34 Clearances required. Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance. Have FBI clearances.

7.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:                                            

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of moving throughout the office and travel to offsite locations.

8.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT:                                         

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. May work non-traditional hours and additional hours including holidays, as required for effective, efficient operation of the program. Occasionally receives calls after hours.
