POSITION:  This position is responsible for the safe supportive operation of the agency Drop-In Center site and the development of empowerment and leadership skills of mental health consumers. Act 33/34 and FBI clearances are required. Childline Certification also required.   Must maintain a current driver's license, have a good driving record and current vehicle insurance. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  A mental health consumer who has participated in a leadership role as evidenced by:  attending local mental health/intellectual development planning meetings, other advisory boards, or Community Support Program regional meetings.  Must be fully engaged in their own recovery and serve as a role model for atendies. 

1.  Participates in weekly members' meeting to get feedback and suggestions regarding programming.

2.  Responsible for opening and closing of the Drop-In Center insuring the site is clean and secured.  Maintain building and grounds to ensure       cleanliness and request maintenance when they are needed.

3.  Attend monthly regional Community Support Program monitoring.

4.  Schedule activities for monthly calendar and make all necessary contacts to obtain tickets, transportation, and arrangements with other Drop-In Centers to provide these activities.

5.  Meets weekly with Coordinator to discuss problems, paperwork, and other issues regarding the Drop-In Center.

6.  Turns in completed sign in sheets to appropriate personnel weekly and by the 2nd working day of the new month.

7.  In case of an emergency involving any unusual incident inside or outside the building or injury or to any person or damage to property, will notify the appropriate personnel and complete an incident report.  Will report other problems to supervisor by the next day.

8.  Treats all members with respect and encourages appropriate behavior from all members.  Consistently enforces rules and regulation according to policy.

9.  Attend all mandated CCC in-services/training programs.

10.  Completes intake paperwork and provides orientation to the Drop-In Center for any new participant.

11.  Understands that any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.

12.  May be assigned other duties as required.

13.  Monitors  daily attendance sign in sheet to ensure that all members are signing in and out of the building.

14.  Makes a list of supplies to be purchased and forwards to the Coordinator on a monthly basis.

15.  Physical demands of the job require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, reaching, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, stooping and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
