 QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a business school or medical secretarial school or 1 year of clerical experience with 6 months supervised experience under a medical professional or medical records administrator. This person will possess a literacy standard that includes the ability to read proficiently and write legible with proper grammar and syntax, in addition to knowledge of psychiatric vocabulary. This person must have good typing skills and be proficient with commonly used computer software. This position will work closely with the outpatient team to assist with medical case management, coding and taking basic vitals for the psychiatrists. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Responsible for the facilitation of efficient provision of services in the Medical Department. Responsible for taking and recording vitals and providing education about mental illness and medications.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

    2.  Secures authorizations for medications, completes medically required paperwork, and tracks attendance.

    3.  Provides review and oversight for coding and approving medical billing.

    4.  Provide coverage for the R.N.in her absence, providing assistance to the physicians with consumer management and medical calls.

    5.  Back-up for the Intake Specialist, as needed. 

    6.  Provides creative and flexible solutions for situations in consumer care and program needs.

    7.  Attends mandatory programming and agency training.

    8.  Enters the Drug and Alcohol information into the WITS (Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services) system.

    9.  Travels to Greenville with physicians for taking and recording of vitals.

   10.  Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor 

         at all times while at work.

   11.  Any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.

   12.  Performs other duties as assigned.

   13.  Can perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations, if necessary.

   14.  Participates in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.

  Work is performed independently under general supervision weekly by the Outpatient Program Administrator or designee for quality and achievement of job duties and responsibilities through observation, supervisory meetings, chart audits, case consultation and reports.
