QUALIFICATIONS:    Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice, or similar human service field, with no previous work experience.  Bachelor's Degree in any other field, with the equivalent of at least one year of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents. Bachelor's Degree preferred;  but may consider  licensed registered nurses, with the equivalent of at least one year of full time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; or an Associate's Degree or sixty credits toward a Bachelor's Degree, with the equivalent of at least one year of full time paid work experience as a TSS Aide; or an Associate's Degree or sixty credits toward a Bachelor's Degree, with the equivalent of at least three years of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents, other than as a TSS Aide; or  licensed practical nurses, with the equivalent of at least three years of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Provides one-on-one therapeutic interventions to a child or adolescent at home, school, daycare, YMCA,

     emergency room, other community-based program, or community setting when the behavior without this

     intervention would require a more restrictive treatment or educational setting.  Direct service will comprise

     90% of the Therapeutic Staff Support Worker's time.

2.  Provides specific therapeutic interventions to stabilize the child or adolescent including crisis intervention

     techniques, behavioral interventions and reinforcements, behavioral tracking/documentation, time-structuring

     activities, emotional support, time-out activities, and psychosocial rehabilitative activities as prescribed in the

     Family Agreement.

3.  Provides support for the family's efforts to stabilize the child or adolescent and to promote age appropriate

     behavioral expectations by working with the family.

4.  Collaborates with other members of the treatment team and other professionals working in the home or in other

     community settings and participates in service planning meetings every four months for each

     child.

5.  Attends mandatory monthly Wraparound All-Staff meetings, CCC's Orientation program, and other required CCC

     Trainings.

6.  Participates in mandatory weekly supervision of which one must be an individual supervision with Clinical

     Leader.

7.  Completes all required paperwork including daily Service Logs, Encounter Forms, Utilization Reports,

     Superbill Forms, Contact Logs, Time Cards, etc., according to the guidelines in the Wraparound Policies

     and Procedures.

8.  Provides treatment related transportation for clients/family.

9. Makes referrals to the respective Children and Youth Services agency or to Childline regarding any

    suspected abuse or neglect of children.

10.  Is required to work non-traditional hours.

11.  Performs other duties as assigned. 

12.  Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a

       professional demeanor at all times while at work.

13.  Any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.

14.  Can perform the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodations, if necessary.

15.  Participates in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.

Work is assigned by the Vocational and Children's Services Director.  This work is reviewed through individual supervision, in-services, conferences, field observations, and by evaluation of written documents.
